EX85220 – E-Mail and calendar access – Restoring service
User Impact: Users may be unable to see the sender’s name when viewing messages in Outlook (desktop).
More info: While we’re focused on remediation, Outlook on the web may be used to view the affected messages as the problem is specific to how the Outlook desktop client displays the message. This issue may occur to small subsets of new incoming messages intermittently until the fix has been completely deployed. Please note that this is an incremental update to provide the latest status on the issue. Current status: The deployment of the fix is approximately 96 percent complete. Although the vast majority of users should no longer observe new instances of this issue, the fix will be tracked to 100 percent deployment, which we’re expecting to reach by the middle of next week. Once the deployment is complete, messages will no longer enter this state and the system will automatically fix any previously affected messages.
