I came across an article on twitter recently about “How do you solve a problem like Darley Street?”
I know that you’ve probably heard the “Bradford born and bred” line a thousand times before, but the foundations of FGS Services and indeed my working life started in Bradford 30+ Years ago working in the Carters Toy Shop, then Famous Army Stores at the top of Darley Street.
I feel it’s great that finally we have the opportunity to get involved instead of moaning about the demise of our once great town/city.
A public debate being held in Bradford on Tuesday 11 April will see guest speakers, civic leaders, and members of the public invited to share their frank and honest views on the city’s current regeneration efforts.
‘How do you solve a problem like Darley Street?’ will have a particular focus on issues around the top of town and markets area of the City Centre, with the current state of Darley Street expected to be a hot topic of discussion.
